The device supports the following BFD features: BFD session setup, BFD detection mode, single-hop and multi-hop BFD, static BFD with automatically negotiated discriminators, VPN route detection, BFD to detect an Eth-Trunk in a VLAN, BFD to detect an Eth-Trunk member link, BFD echo, BFD association, and dynamic change of BFD parameters.

Table 2-5 describes the BFD configuration tasks.
