Geo-Redundant DR Solution

After being configured, DR services need to be managed. This section describes the management of DR services, including cascading, parallel network, and recovery across data centers in HyperMetro expansion, and common DR management operations.


Suppose that HperMetro (SAN)and synchronous replication (SAN) DR is used, and site A and site B are networked using HyperMetro while site B and site C are networked using synchronous remote replication. Before migrating data from site C to the site A and site B as scheduled, or performing fault recovery from site A to site B, perform the followings:
  • Remove LUN mappings from hosts corresponding to the active-active ends at site A and site B.
  • If site B is the secondary end (the data synchronization direction is "remote to local"), forcibly enable HyperMetro, suspend site A, and switch site B to be the primary end.
