What Can I Do If Scripts Fail to Be Executed When I Create Protected Groups or Modify Application Authentication Information

Symptom

When I create the Oracle protected groups or modify application authentication information, a message indicating script error is displayed.

Possible Causes

Password of the database user may be expired.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the host on which the database is installed.
  2. Go the log folder under the eReplication Agent installation directory, and find the oracletest.log log file.
  3. Check whether the oracletest.log file contains the following logs:

  4. If these logs are displayed, change the password or its validity period.

Suggestion and Summary

For similar situations, refer to the preceding steps for troubleshooting. To check the eReplication Agent, go to the log folder under the eReplication Agent installation directory. Logs to be viewed vary with applications. For example, to view the connection logs of a test database:
  • Oracle: oracletest.log
  • SQLServer: sqlserversample.log
  • DB2: db2sample.log
