What Can I Do If Database Instances Cannot Be Displayed on the Production Site

Symptom

When I create a database protected group, the database instances fail to be displayed in host resources at the production site.

Possible Causes

After database (such as Oracle and DB2) environment variables are configured, the eReplication Agent is not restarted, causing user rdadmin setting and Oracle setting unable to take effect. As a result, database instances fail to be displayed in the host resources at the production center.

Procedure

  1. Restart the eReplication Agent after checking and configuring the production environment of Oracle and DB2.

    NOTE:
For details about the eReplication Agent startup, see Starting the eReplication Agent.

  2. Create database protected groups.
