Interconnecting with ManageOne

Interconnecting with ManageOne

After the eReplication is interconnected with ManageOne, you can upload alarms on the backup server to the ManageOne in real time. Alarms can be easily obtained and centrally managed.

Prerequisites

  • The login IP address, user name, and password of the ManageOne O&M plane have been obtained.
  • The IP address and port number of the eReplication server's service management have been obtained.
  • The password of the administrator account used for logging in to the eReplication server has been obtained.
  • The network between the eReplication system and ManageOne is connected properly.

Procedure

  1. Configure ManageOne.
    1. Log in to the ManageOne O&M plane.
    2. On ManageOne, create an account to connect to eReplication.

      1. Choose Security > User Management > Users from the main menu and click Create.
      2. Set user information as prompted and click Next.
        NOTE:
Set Type to Third-party system access.
      3. Select the Administrators and SMManagers roles, and click Next.
      4. Click Finish. You have finished creating the user.

    3. Interconnect ManageOne with eReplication.

      NOTE:
      • If eReplication is deployed in active/standby mode, you need to interconnect both active and standby eReplication servers with ManageOne.
      • To enable the alarm reporting function, select the Rest protocol.

      1. Choose System > System Access from the main menu.
      2. On the System Typetab page, click XAAS.
      3. On the displayed page, click Create.Table 7-20 describes parameters required when configuring basic XaaS system information.
Table 7-20  Parameters required when configuring basic XaaS system information

        Parameter

        Description

        System name

Indicates the name of XaaS, which can be customized.

        [Example]

        eReplication

        Version

Indicates the version of the driver when it is registered. The default value is 1.0.

        1.0

        IP address/Domain name

Local management IP address or floating IP address of the eReplication Server.
        • If eReplication is deployed in single-node mode, use a local management IP address.
        • If eReplication is deployed in HA mode, use a floating IP address.
        • If eReplication is deployed in active/standby mode, use a local management IP address.

        [Example]

        192.168.10.10

        Deployment zone

Indicates the region where the driver locates.

        Global

        System type

Indicates the type of the system to be interconnected.

        [Example]

        IAAS

        Region

        Indicates the region type.

        [Example]

        Region1

      4. Click Next to go to the Set Alarm Parameters page.
      5. Select the Rest type protocol.
      6. Click OK.

If the interconnection is successful, the Connection Status of the added system is displayed as .

  2. Configure eReplication.

After you configure Alarm Interconnection Configuration of eReplication, the system can report alarms to OperationCenter.

If eReplication is deployed in HA or active/standby mode, after the eReplication Server service is switched from the active server to the standby server, you need to reconfigure Alarm Interconnection Configuration of eReplicationOtherwise, the system will not report alarms to OperationCenter.

    1. Log in to the eReplication page.
    2. On the menu bar, select Settings.
