Collecting Information About the eReplication Server

Collecting Information About the eReplication Server

If the eReplication Server is deployed on a Linux server, you can use SmartKit to collect running log information about the eReplication Server.

Prerequisites

  • SmartKit of the latest version has been downloaded and installed. SmartKit can collect information about devices installed on a Linux server only.

You can visit http://support.huawei.com and choose Support > Tools > Enterprise Data Center > SmartKit to download SmartKit.

    NOTE:
    • SmartKit was OceanStor Toolkit. This document uses SmartKit as an example.
    • In this example, SmartKit V2R5C00RC3 is used, so the package required here is SmartKit V2R5C00RC3.Zip.
  • The management IP address of eReplication and the login password (default: Huawei@CLOUD8) of DRManager have been obtained.
  • If the eReplication Server server whose information is to be collected is installed by using a KVM template, enable the SFTP and SSHD services. For details, see Context in Installing the eReplication Server Using a KVM (Only Applicable to FusionSphere OpenStack).

Procedure

  1. Log in to SmartKit.
  2. Discover the eReplication Server.
    1. Click Device Management and Add.

    2. Select Specify IP Address and enter the IP address of the eReplication management server in IP Address.
    3. Click Next.

    4. In Username and Password, enter the username and password. The username is DRManager and the default password is Huawei@CLOUD8. The default port number is 22.
    5. Click Finish.
  3. Collect system data of eReplication.
    1. Click My Tools and Information Collection.
    2. Select the added eReplication management server and click Collect.

By default, OceanStor Toolkit automatically collects system data of the eReplication management server. You can click Setting in the row of the eReplication management server to change information collection items.

    3. After the collection is complete, click Open Directory to view collected information.
