Disabling Power-Off Notification

When you power off the system, a dialog box notifying you of entering the reason for device power-off will be displayed. You can perform the following operations to disable the power-off notification.

Context

This section uses Windows Server 2008 as an example. The method also applies to Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2016.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start > Run (or press win + R).

  2. Enter gpedit.msc and click OK.

  3. Choose Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System.
  4. Double-click Display Shutdown Event Tracker.



  5. Select Disabled and click OK.
