Uninstalling the eReplication Agent

Function

This operation uninstalls the eReplication Agent.

Format

  • Windows: agent_uninstall.bat
  • Non-Windows: agent_uninstall.sh

Parameters

None

Usage Guidelines

  • Windows
    1. Log in as an administrator to the application server where the eReplication Agent is installed.
    2. Go to the Agent installation path\bin directory.
    3. Double-click the agent_uninstall.bat file.
    4. Type y and press Enter.
  • Linux/AIX/HP-UX is used as an example
    1. Use PuTTY to log in as root to the application server where the eReplication Agent is installed.
    2. Run the TMOUT=0 command to prevent PuTTY from exiting due to session timeout.
      NOTE:

      After you run this command, the system continues to run when no operation is performed, resulting a risk. For security purposes, you are advised to run exit to exit the system after completing your operations.

    3. Run the cd /home/rdadmin/Agent/bin command to go to the script save path.
    4. Run the sh agent_uninstall.sh command.
    5. Type y and press Enter.
    6. After the uninstallation is complete, delete the /home/rdadmin/Agent directory and all files under the directory.
      1. Run the cd /home command to go to the /home directory.
      2. Run the rm -rf rdadmin/Agent/* command to delete all files under the rdadmin/Agent directory.

Linux is used as an example.
