Registering the Keystone

Registering the Keystone

In cloud server HA scenarios, register the Keystone to interconnect with ManageOne OperationCenter 3.0.x.

Prerequisites

  • A cross-platform remote access tool, such as PuTTY, is available.
  • The reverse proxy IP address and fsp account's password of FusionSphere OpenStack have been obtained.
  • The password of the root and DRManager accounts of the eReplication system to be interconnected with have been obtained.

Procedure

  1. Log in to an OpenStack node as user fsp.
  2. Run the su root command and enter the password of account root to switch to account root.
  3. Run the following command to import environmental variables:

    source /usr/bin/set_env

    The following information is displayed:
please choose environment variable which you want to import:
    (1) openstack environment variable (keystone v3)
    (2) cps environment variable
    (3) openstack environment variable legacy (keystone v2)
    please choose:[1|2|3]

  4. Enter 1 to select Keystone V3 authentication. Enter the password of account OS_USERNAME as prompted. (The default password is FusionSphere123.)
  5. Run the following command set the user name.

    export OS_USERNAME=cloud_admin

  6. Run the TMOUT=0 command to prevent system timeout.

    NOTE:

After this command is executed, the system keeps running even when no operations are performed, resulting in security risks. To ensure system security, run the exit command to exit the system after performing required operations.

  7. Register the csha service and endpoint.
    1. Run the openstack service create --name csha --description csha csha command to register the CSHA service.

The command output is as follows:

Control-1207:/home/fsp # openstack service create --name csha --description csha csha
      +-------------+----------------------------------+
      | Field | Value |
      +-------------+----------------------------------+

      | type | csha |
      +-------------+----------------------------------+

    2. Run the openstack endpoint create --region region_name csha admin https://manage_float_ip:9443 command to register the endpoint of the CSHA service.

region_name indicates the name of region where the csha service resides.manage_float_ip indicates the floating IP address of the service management, which must be registered based on the actual deployment.

The following gives an example and the command output.
Control-1207:/home/fsp # openstack endpoint create --region az1.dc1 csha admin https://192.168.0.130:9443

      +--------------+----------------------------------+

    3. Run the openstack endpoint create --region region_name csha public https://manage_float_ip:9443 command to register the endpoint of the csha service.

region_name indicates the name of region where the csha service resides.manage_float_ip indicates the floating IP address of the service management, which must be registered based on the actual deployment.
