Interconnecting with CloudOpera OperationCenter

Interconnecting with CloudOpera OperationCenter

After the eReplication is interconnected with CloudOpera OperationCenter, you can upload alarms on the backup server to the CloudOpera OperationCenter in real time. Alarms can be easily obtained and centrally managed.

Prerequisites

  • The login IP address, username, and password of CloudOpera OperationCenter have been obtained.
  • The IP address and port number of the eReplication server's service management have been obtained.
  • The password of the administrator account used for logging in to the eReplication server has been obtained.
  • The network between the eReplication system and CloudOpera OperationCenter is connected properly.
  • The northbound two-way authentication switch of OperationCenter server is off. For details, see Configuring Authentication Mode in CloudOpera OperationCenter 6.0.x Northbound API Development Guide.
Ensure that the northbound two-way authentication switch of the OC server is disabled. If the switch is not disabled, the interconnection will fail.

Context

When eReplication is deployed in active/standby mode, interconnecting with CloudOpera OperationCenter is not supported.

Procedure

  1. Configure CloudOpera OperationCenter.
    1. Log in to the OM plane of CloudOpera OperationCenter.
    2. On CloudOpera OperationCenter, create an account to connect to eReplication.

      1. Choose Security > User Management > Users from the main menu and click Create.
      2. Set user information as prompted and click Next.
        NOTE:
Set Type to Third-party system access and clear the Change the password at the first login check box in advanced settings.
      3. Select the Administrators and SMManagers roles, and click Next.
      4. Click Finish. You have finished creating the user.

    3. Interconnect CloudOpera OperationCenter with eReplication.

To enable the alarm reporting function, select the Rest protocol.

      1. Choose System > System Access from the main menu.
      2. On the System Typetab page, click XAAS.
      3. On the displayed page, click Create.Table 7-18 describes parameters required when configuring basic XaaS system information.
