What Can I Do When I Fail to Uninstall eReplication

What Can I Do When I Fail to Uninstall eReplication

  • When I uninstall eReplication in CLI mode (, Preparing to uninstall the OceanStor BCManager software, please wait is displayed. After the script completes execution, no information indicating that the uninstallation is successful is displayed.
  • When I uninstall eReplication in GUI mode (, no dialog box is displayed till the uninstallation script completes execution.

Possible Causes

  • If eReplication is deployed in HA mode and the active and standby ends use different eReplication installation packages, configuration files may not be the same. In such conditions, configuration information cannot be obtained after the synchronization between the active and standby ends is performed. As a result, the uninstallation fails.
  • Some files on the eReplication node are damaged, causing the relevant configuration information unable to be obtained. Ultimately, eReplication fails to be uninstalled.

  1. Go to directory Runtime/bin under the eReplication installation directory and run the sh command to stop the eReplication services.
  2. Run the /etc/init.d/gaussdb stop command to stop the database services.

  3. Go to directory /opt/BCManager/Runtime/ha and run the /etc/init.d/gaussdb stop command to uninstall the HA software.
  4. Run the rm -fr /opt/gs/;rm -fr /opt/BCManager/;rm -f /home/ICUser/RDInstalled.xml;rm -f /etc/profile.d/ command to delete all installation files.
