How to Obtain

eReplication Server installation package

The eReplication Server is installed on the DR management server and provides DR service process control, DR policy scheduling, configuration data management of DR resources and services. The eReplication Server can be installed using software packages as follows:

The eReplication Server can be installed using software packages as follows:
  • Windows: OceanStor_BCManager_ 6.5.0_eReplication_for_Windows.zip
  • SUSE Linux: OceanStor_BCManager_6.5.0_eReplication_for_SLES11.tar.gz
  • RedHat Linux: OceanStor_BCManager_6.5.0_eReplication_for_RedHat.tar.gz

The eReplication Server supports template-based installation of FusionSphere OpenStack. Corresponding image files are: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0 eReplication for Euler.qcow2

NOTE:
Version numbers in the preceding software packages vary with site conditions.

eReplication Agent installation package

The eReplication agent must be installed on the DR host when the protected objects are Oracle, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, or Microsoft Exchange Server databases, or New Technology File System (NTFS), EXT, and XFS file system. The eReplication agent is responsible for discovering host applications, protecting application data consistency, and recovering applications. The name of the eReplication agent's software package is OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_eReplication_Agent.zip, which contains the following files:
  • Windows host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-WIN64.zip
  • AIX 7.1 host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-AIX-ppc_64.tar.gz
  • HP-UX host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-HP-UX-ia_64.tar.gz
  • RedHat Linux 6.x host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-RedHat6-x86_64.tar.gz
  • RedHat Linux 7.x host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-RedHat7-x86_64.tar.gz
  • SUSE Linux 10 host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-SuSE10-x86_64.tar.gz
  • SUSE Linux 11 host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-SuSE11-x86_64.tar.gz
  • Suntek-NGSP host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-Rocky6-x86_64.tar.gz
  • Oracle Linux 6.x host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-OL6-x86_64.tar.gz
  • Solaris host: OceanStor BCManager 6.5.0_Agent-Solaris-sparc_64.tar.gz
NOTE:

Version numbers in the preceding software packages vary with site conditions.

VRG software package

The Virtual Replication Gateway (VRG) must be installed when the protected objects are FusionSphere VMs and the host-based replication technology is used for DR. The VRG provides the following functions:
  • Aggregates, compresses, and encrypts VM I/O data and transmits the data to the remote site.
  • Receives data from the remote site and transmits the data to the specified host.
  • Provides management interfaces for delivering replication policies and querying statuses.
VRG is updated with FusionCompute. The VRG software package is named FusionCompute V100R006Cxx_VRG.zip.
NOTE:
The version number in the preceding software package varies with site conditions.

NOTE:
You need to select reference documentation based on the version of FusionSphere at the production site.
When protected objects are FusionSphere VMs, follow instructions in product documentation to perform the following operations:
  • Log in to FusionCompute.
  • Perform cascading configurations for FusionManager and FusionCompute.
  • Connect FusionCompute to storage arrays.
  • Configure clusters, host resources, and port group resources for FusionCompute.
  • Add the DR service management interface for the hosts where DR VMs reside.
  • Configure specification properties for production VMs when specifying a recovery network for VMs.
  • Unbind the logcatche disk from the VRG VM if the logcatche disk is corrupted.
