Installing OpsMonitor Agent

Installing OpsMonitor Agent

Before connecting to OpsMonitor, you need to install OpsMonitor Agent first. This section describes how to install OpsMonitor Agent.

  • Listening port of the OpsMonitor Agent is 10050 and listening port of the OpsMonitor Server is 10051.

If the network firewalls have been opened, ensure that TCP port 10050 on the client host has opened so that OpsMonitor Agent and OpsMonitor Server can communicate properly.

  • Selinux has been disabled on the host operating system (OS) on which OpsMonitor Agent is to be installed.
  • DMK information has been obtained.
  • Space usage of directories /opt and /home of the client host on which OpsMonitor Agent is to be installed does not exceed 80%.

Developed based on Zabbix, OpsMonitor is a distributed operation and maintenance monitoring system, composed of OpsMonitor Server and OpsMonitor Agent. It monitors host operating systems, processes, platforms, and basic services and displays the monitoring information on a Web UI.You can view monitoring data on the OpsMonitor Web UI in a centralized manner.

Data Preparation

Table 2-23 details the parameters need to be configured for installing OpsMonitor Agent.
