Configuring Snapshot Retry Parameters

Configuring Snapshot Retry Parameters

Modify the snapshot retry parameters in the configuration file.

The DR management server has been installed at the DR site.

The actual replication period of asynchronous remote replication cannot be accurately calculated. When you perform asynchronous replication and snapshot protection at the same time, performing snapshot protection fails.

  1. Go to the eReplication installation directory, open the Runtime/LegoRuntime/conf/ configuration file, and set the following parameters:

    1. BaseSanSnapshotPrepareAction.retry.switch: This parameter is used to turn on or off the snapshot retry switch. true indicates turning on the switch and false indicates turning off the switch. The switch is turned on by default.
    2. BaseSanSnapshotPrepareAction.retry.times: This parameter is used to set the snapshot retry times. The default retry times is 10.
    3. BaseSanSnapshotPrepareAction.retry.timeInterval: This parameter is used to set the snapshot retry interval (unit: second). The default snapshot retry interval is 6 seconds.
    • If a parameter in the configuration file contains invalid characters or is incorrectly configured, this parameter is invalid.
    • The default configuration is used. The maximum snapshot retry duration is 24 hours. If the duration exceeds 24 hours, the default configuration is used. The method of calculating the maximum snapshot retry duration is as follows: Number of snapshot retries multiplied by the snapshot retry interval.

  2. After the modification is complete, save and close the file. Restart the eReplication Server for the modification to take effect.
