Interconnecting with OpsMonitor

Interconnecting with OpsMonitor

This section describes the method of interconnecting with OpsMonitor.

Prerequisites

  • The eReplication has been installed and deployed.
  • The management IP addresses of all eReplication nodes have been obtained.
  • ensure that the OpsMonitor Server client has been installed. For details, see Installing CloudOpera ManageOne > Installing OpsMonitor > OpsMonitor Server Installation in FusionCloud 6.0.0 Software Installation Guide (Region Type I) or FusionCloud 6.0.0 Software Installation Guide (Region Type II).
  • Ensure that the network between the eReplication node and the OpsMonitor Server is unblocked.
  • The IP address and port number of OpsMonitor have been obtained. Please contact the OpsMonitor O&M administrator.
  • The user name and password of the super administrator used to log in to OpsMonitor have been obtained.

Context

OpsMonitor provides the distributed monitoring function based on a web interface. OpsMonitor consists of the OpsMonitor server and OpsMonitor agents.

To use OpsMonitor properly, the OpsMonitor server must open firewall port 10051.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the OpsMonitor configuration page as a super administrator.

    NOTE:
    • The address used to access OpsMonitor is in the following format: https://Management IP address of the OpsMonitor server:18443/opsmonitor.

      For example: https://192.168.25.4:18443/opsmonitor.

    • If there is no super administrator account, contact OpsMonitor O&M personnel to create host groups, user groups, and users from 2 to 4. Go to 5, log in to OpsMonitor using a normal service user account created by OpsMonitor O&M personnel.
    • For parameters not involved in the following operations, retain the default values.

  2. Create a host group.
    1. On the menu bar, choose Configuration > Host groups.
    2. Click Create host group to create a host group.

The Host Group page is displayed.

    3. In Group name, set the host group name (eReplication recommended).
    4. Click Add.
  3. Create a user group.

    1. On the menu bar, choose Administration > User groups.
    2. Click Create user group.
    3. In Group name, set the user group name (eReplication_UG recommended).

    • Add the read-write and read only permissions to the user group from 3.d to 3.f.
    • The read-write permission is added to users that can read and write the host group in the user group. Generally the host group is that in server components. The read only permission is added to users that can only read the host group in the user group. Generally the host group is Templates.

  4. Create a user.
    1. On the menu bar, choose Administration > Users.
    2. Click Create user.
    3. Specify Alias, Name, and Last Name as prompted.
