Impact on the System

The faulty node has only one link available. If the problem is not resolved promptly, the controller will go offline as soon as the last available link is interrupted.

Possible Causes

  • The optical cable is not inserted or is removed.
  • The optical module is not inserted or is removed.
  • The optical cable or module is damaged


  1. In the equipment room, find the controller based on the controller ID provided in the alarm. Then, find the port based on the port ID provided in the alarm. Check whether the optical cable or module is removed or damaged.

    1. If the optical cable or module is removed, reinsert it. If the alarm persists=> 1.2.
    2. Replace the optical cable. If the alarm persists=> 1.3.
    3. Replace the optical module. If the alarm persists=> Step2.

  2. Collect all related information and contact technical support engineers.
