Impact on the System

The LUN cannot be connected if the link is reconnected.

Possible Causes

The external LUN of the corresponding heterogeneous storage array is changed to a command device.


  1. Check why the external LUN is changed to a command device.

    1. If the customer needs to use this external LUN as the external device=> Step2.
    2. If the external LUN is changed to a command device by mistake, change this LUN back to a normal LUN=> Step4.

  2. Check whether the LUN is being used.

    1. If yes, stop delivering I/Os to this LUN and delete the eDevLUN=> Step3.
    2. If no=> Step3.

  3. Unmap this LUN from the heterogeneous storage array and scan for LUNs again=> Step4.
  4. Clear the alarm manually.
