Possible Causes

  • The cable is not connected or is damaged.
  • The optical module or interface module is faulty.
  • The switch port is faulty, powered off, or its configurations are incorrect.
  • The back-end device is faulty or is powered off.

Procedure

  1. Check the switch status and configuration. If the cables on the switch are not connected, the optical module on the switch is faulty, the switch is faulty or powered off, or the configuration is incorrect, rectify the fault. If the alarm persists=> Step2.
  2. Check the status of the back-end device. If the cables on the back-end device are not connected, the optical module is faulty, the interface module is faulty, or the back-end device is faulty or powered off, rectify the fault. If the alarm persists=> Step3.
  3. Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
