Possible Causes

  • The link is unstable.
  • The disk domain is faulty.
  • The secondary device of the HyperVault is overloaded.
  • The primary file system of the HyperVault is faulty.
  • The secondary file system of the HyperVault is faulty.
  • The number of HyperVault copies reaches the upper limit.
  • The HyperVault service fails.

Procedure

  1. Check whether links are working properly.

    1. If yes=> Step2.
    2. If no, replace faulty optical fibers or network cables to ensure that all links work properly. If the alarm persists=> Step2.

  1. Check whether alarms are generated on the controller where the primary file system and secondary file system reside.

    1. If yes, handle the alarms by taking recommended actions. If the alarm persists=> Step3.
    2. If no=> Step3.

  2. Check whether an alarm is generated on the primary and secondary devices of the HyperVault indicating that the number of HyperVault copies reaches the upper limit.

    1. If yes, handle the alarm by taking recommended actions. If the alarm persists=> Step4.
    2. If no=> Step4.

  3. Check whether an alarm is generated on the primary and secondary devices of the HyperVault indicating that a HyerVault task fails.

    1. If yes, handle the alarm by taking recommended actions. If the alarm persists=> Step5.
    2. If no=> Step5.

  4. Check whether an alarm indicating the disk domain fault is generated.

    1. If yes, handle the alarm with recommended actions. If the alarm persists=> Step6.
    2. If no=> Step6.

  5. Collect all related information and contact technical support engineers.
