The VM management system cannot work correctly.

Possible Causes

  • The LUN corresponding to the VM file system is faulty.
  • The LUN corresponding to the VM file system is removed from the LUN group.
  • The host corresponding to the VM file system is removed from the host group.
  • The initiator corresponding to the VM file system is removed from the host.
  • The host group or LUN group corresponding to the VM file system is removed from the mapping view.
  • The file system is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the LUN is normal.

    1. If yes=> Step2.
    2. If no, repair the LUN. If the alarm persists=> Step2.

  1. Check whether the LUN is removed from the LUN group.

    1. If yes=> add the LUN to the LUN group again. If the alarm persists=> Step3.
    2. If no=> Step3.

  2. Check whether the host is removed from the host group.

    1. If yes, add the host to the host group again. If the alarm persists=> Step4.
    2. If no=> Step4.

  3. Check whether the initiator is removed from the host.

    1. If yes, add the initiator to the host again. If the alarm persists=> Step5.
    2. If no=> Step5.

  4. Check whether the host group or LUN group is removed from the mapping view.

    1. If yes, add the host group or LUN group to the mapping view again. If the alarm persists=> Step6.
    2. If no=> Step6.

  5. Mount the VM file system again. If the alarm persists=> Step7.
  6. Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
