The network connection of a back-end device is abnormal.

Impact on the System

The Dorado NAS unit cannot manage back-end devices.

Possible Causes

  • Connection of the management network port on the Dorado NAS unit is faulty.
  • Connection of the management network port on the back-end device is faulty.
  • The back-end device connection certificate is incorrect.


  1. Run the "show port general" command on the Dorado NAS unit and back-end device to check whether their management network ports are faulty.

    1. If yes, remove and then insert the network cable. If the alarm persists=> Step5.
    2. If no=> Step2.

  2. Ping the IP address of the back-end device in minisystem mode.

    1. If the ping operation succeeds but the alarm persists=> Step4.
    2. If the ping operation fails, check whether the back-end device and Dorado NAS unit are on the same network segment. If yes=> Step3.

  3. Contact the network engineers to check whether the network fails.

    1. If yes, network engineers need to rectify the fault.
    2. If no=> Step5.

  4. Check whether the back-end device certificate is incorrect.

    1. If yes, import the certificate again.
    2. If no=> Step5.

  5. Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
