Function

Modifies information about a protected environment.

Format

change protected_environment ID [new_name=?] [address=?] [username=?] [cert=?][cert_path=?] [port=?] [protocol=?] [protected_object_uuid=?] [protected_object_CBT]

Parameters

Value

ID

ID of the protected environment that you want to modify.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 9223372036854775807.

new_name=?

User-defined new name of the protected environment.

The name contains a string of 1 to 128 characters which can only be letters, digits, Chinese characters, plus signs (+), underscores (_), hyphens (-), periods (.), and at signs (@).

address=?

When the type of protected environment is VMware, the parameter is vCenter/ESX IP.

1. If multiple hosts are managed, enter the IP address of vCenter Server.

2. If a single host is managed, enter the management IP address of the ESX host.

When the type of protected environment is FusionSphere, the parameter is VRM IP.

1. If FusionCompute is deployed in single-node mode, enter the management IP address of FusionCompute.

2. If FusionCompute is deployed in active-passive mode, enter the floating IP address of FusionCompute.

The IP format is in dotted decimal notation.

username=?

When the type of protected environment is VMware, the parameter is the user name of logging in to the VMware vSphere web Client.

When the type of protected environment is FusionSphere, the parameter is the user name of the interface interconnection user that connects FusionCompute with the backup management system.

The length is 1 to 128 characters.

Password

When the type of protected environment is VMware, the parameter is the password of logging in to the VMware vSphere web Client.

When the type of protected environment is FusionSphere, the parameter is the password of the interface interconnection user that connects FusionCompute with the backup management system.

The length is 1 to 255 characters.

cert=?

The certificate matching mode. This parameter is valid only when protocol is https_protocol.

The value can be AutoMatch or ManuallyUpload.

cert_path=?

Certificate path of the protected environment.

The length is 1 to 255 characters. none means delete the originalcertificate.

port=?

Port for the communication between the backup system and the management plane of the protected environment.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 65535.

protocol=?

Protocol for the communication between the backup system and the management plane of the protected environment.

The value can be http_protocol or https_protocol.

Network security risks exist if http_protocol is used. Therefore, https_protocol is recommended.

protected_object_uuid=?

UUID of the VM that needs to disable Changed Block Tracking (CBT), it is assigned by backup management system, not the universally unique identifier of the VM in the protected environment.

The name contains 36 characters which can only be 0-9, a-f, A-F, and hyphen (-).

protected_object_CBT

CBT status.

The value can only be Off.
