Function

Creates a user.

Format

create user name type role [session_mode=?] [session_numbers=?]

Parameters

Value

name

User name.

The name contains 3 to 32 characters which can only be letters, digits, and underscores (_), and must start with a letter.

type

User type.

The value can be LocalUser LDAPUser or InterfaceInterconnection, where:

  • LocalUser: human-machine interaction account used to log in to the backup management system for backup and recovery management.
  • InterfaceInterconnection: machine-to-machine interaction account used to connect the backup management system with other systems.
  • LDAPUser: Human-machine interaction account, used to log in to the LDAPS servicer.

role

User role.

This parameter is valid only when type is not InterfaceInterconnection.

The value can be Administrator or RegularUser, where:

  • Administrator: administrator who has all the rights except user management.
  • RegularUser: common user who only has access and recovery operation rights.

session_mode=?

The session mode, specify that whether open the function to limit the quantity of sessions.

The value can be open or close. The default value is close.

session_numbers=?

The upper limit of user's sessions.

The value is a integer.

The value is an integer. The value ranges from 1 to 8.

Password

Login password of the user.

By default, the password must conform to the following rules: (You can modify the password policy.)

  • Contains 8 to 16 characters.
  • Contains one special character. Special characters include `~!@#$%^&*()-_=+\|[{}];:'",<.>/? and spaces.
  • Contains any two types of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and digits.
  • The number of consecutive occurrences of one character cannot exceed three.
  • The password cannot be the same as the user name or in reverse order of the user name.

Reenter password

Confirms the password. The reentered password must be the same as the value of Password.
