Clearing a Node

This operation is risky. You must confirm whether to continue to execute the command.

Run the following command to stop node processes and clear the configuration information:

./dswareTool.sh --op clearNode -type mdc/osd/vbs/opensm/kvs/zk/eds/cm/kms/dlm_mm/dlm_vm/djob/ccdb_server/ccdb_monitor/all -ip ip -poolId(Needed when the type is osd) poolId/all

Parameter

Description

./dswareTool.sh

Specifies an executable program for the tool.

--op clearNode

Clears a node.

-type mdc/osd/vbs/opensm/kvs/zk/eds/cm/kms/dlm_mm/dlm_vm/djob/ccdb_server/ccdb_monitor/all

Specifies clearance type. The values are mdc, osd, vbs, opensm, kvs, zk, eds, cm, kms, dlm_mm, dlm_vm, djob, ccdb_server, ccdb_monitor, and all.

-ip ip

Specifies the IP address of the node to be cleared, for example, 172.21.36.21.

-poolId poolId/all

Specifies the ID of the storage pool where the node to be cleared belongs. This parameter is mandatory only when the type is osd. If the parameter value is set to all, the OSD information of all storage pools will be cleared.

An IPv4 example is provided as follows:

dsware@FSM:/opt/dsware/client/bin> ./dswareTool.sh --op clearNode -type all -ip 172.21.36.45
