Creating a Volume Using a Snapshot

Run the following command to create a volume using a snapshot:

sh --op createVolumeFromSnap -n volumeName -s volumeSize(unit:MB) -src snapshotName



Specifies an executable program for the tool.

--op createVolumeFromSnap

Creates a volume using a snapshot.

-n volumeName

Specifies the name of the volume.

-s volumeSize

Specifies the size of the volume.

-src snapshotName

Specifies the name of the snapshot.

An example is provided as follows:

dsware@FSM01:/opt/dsware/client/bin> ./ --op createVolumeFromSnap -n lun01 -s 2050 -src snapName01
[Wed Nov 11 16:40:01 CST 2015] DswareTool operation start.
Operation finish successfully. Result Code:0
[Wed Nov 11 16:40:02 CST 2015] DswareTool operation end.
