Forcibly Deleting a Disk

This operation is risky. You must confirm whether to continue to execute the command.

Run the following command to forcibly remove a faulty disk in the event of two points of failure:

./dswareTool.sh --op forceOutDisk -id poolId -slot slotNo -nodeMgrIp nodeMgrIp

Parameter

Description

./dswareTool.sh

Specifies an executable program for the tool.

--op forceOutDisk

Specifies the command for forcibly removing a disk.

-id poolId

Specifies the ID of the storage pool from which the faulty disk is to be forcibly removed, for example, 0.

-slot slotNo

Specifies the slot number of the disk to be forcibly removed, for example, 2.

-nodeMgrIp nodeMgrIp

Specifies the management IP address of the node where the faulty disk locates, for example, 172.21.36.21.

An IPv4 example is provided as follows:

[dsware@FSM01 bin]$ sh /opt/dsware/client/bin/dswareTool.sh --op forceOutDisk -id 0 -slot 1 -nodeMgrIp 10.90.211.32
