Repairing an SSD or SSD Card

This operation is risky. You must confirm whether to continue to execute the command.

Run the following command to repair an SSD or SSD card in the event of the single point of failure or two points of failure:

./dswareTool.sh --op repairSSD -id poolId -oldEsn oldSSDEsn -newEsn newSSDEsn -nodeMgrIp nodeMgrIp -type main_storage/cache -rapid(optional) true/false -ignoreMediaFault(optional) true/false(default)

Parameter

Description

./dswareTool.sh

Specifies an executable program for the tool.

--op repairSSD

Repairs an SSD or SSD card.

-id poolId

Specifies the ID of the storage pool to which an SSD or SSD card belongs, for example, 0.

-oldEsn oldSSDEsn

Specifies the ESN of the SSD or SSD card to be repaired.

-newEsn newSSDEsn

Specifies the ESN of the SSD or SSD card to be inserted.

-nodeMgrIp nodeMgrIp

Specifies the management IP address of the node to which the SSD or SSD card belongs.

-type main_storage/cache

Specifies the role of the SSD or SSD card to be repaired. The value can be main_storage or cache.

-rapid(optional) true/false

Specifies whether to rapidly restore the SSD card or SSD. The value can be true or false (default). This parameter is optional.

When the original card is restored, you can use the rapid restoration parameter.

-ignoreMediaFault(optional) true/false(default)

Specifies whether to ignore the faulty medium. The value can be true or false (default). This parameter is optional.

An IPv4 example is provided as follows:
