Encrypting the iSCSI Authentication Key

Run the following command to encrypt the iSCSI authentication key:

./ --op encryptForIscsi -type agent/manager




Specifies an executable program for the tool.

--op encryptForIscsi

Encrypts the password that the user enters.

-type agent/manager

Specifies the encryption type. The value can be agent or manager.


You are required to enter the password. The password must contain 32 characters, and the two entered passwords must be the same.

An example is provided as follows:

dsware@FSM01:/opt/dsware/client/bin> sh --op encryptForIscsi -type agent
Enter the password content:
Enter the password content again:
[Mon Nov 9 11:19:01 CST 2015] DswareTool operation start.
Encrypted result is:84A1F7C0E11F536EADF48CFCA7539A4F73F6083296FE23ACEE2CE4CC7128180EF58AA620363AA8651CE81D9CA783B3A9
