Encrypting the User Password Using AES256

Run the following command to encrypt the user password using AES256:

./ --op encryptPwdByAes256 -encryptTool openSSL/java/kmc -domainName(optional) FSM_ENCRYPT/FSA_ENCRYPT/EVS_ENCRYPT/VBS_TRANSFER/VBS_ENCRYPT




Specifies an executable program for the tool.

--op encryptPwdByAes256

Encrypts the password that the user enters.

-encryptTool openSSL/java/kmc

Specifies the encryption tool. The value can be openSSL, java, or kmc.


Specifies the domain name. The value can be FSM_ENCRYPT, FSA_ENCRYPT, EVS_ENCRYPT, VBS_TRANSFER, or VBS_ENCRYPT.


The domainName parameter is mandatory only when the kmc tool is used.

An example is provided as follows:

dsware@FSM-10-8:/opt/dsware/client/bin>  ./ --op encryptPwdByAes256 -encryptTool kmc -domainName FSM_ENCRYPT
