Forcibly Removing an SSD or SSD Card

This operation is risky. You must confirm whether to continue to execute the command.

Run the following command to forcibly remove an SSD or SSD card in the event of two points of failure and emergent faults:

./dswareTool.sh --op forceOutSSD -id poolId -esn esn -nodeMgrIp nodeMgrIp -type main_storage/cache

Parameter

Description

./dswareTool.sh

Specifies an executable program for the tool.

--op forceOutSSD

Forcibly removes an SSD or SSD card.

-id poolId

Specifies the ID of the storage pool where an SSD or SSD card to be forcibly removed locates, for example, 0.

-esn esn

Specifies the ESN of the SSD or SSD card to be removed.

-nodeMgrIp nodeMgrIp

Specifies the management IP address of the node where an SSD or SSD card to be forcibly removed locates, for example, 172.21.36.21.

-type main_storage/cache

Specifies the role of the SSD or SSD card to be removed. The value can be main_storage or cache.

An IPv4 example is provided as follows:

[dsware@FSM01 bin]$ sh /opt/dsware/client/bin/dswareTool.sh --op forceOutSSD -id 1 -esn 6SE4X1P50000B216CW6Z -nodeMgrIp 10.90.211.34 -type main_storage
