Forcibly Replacing the SSD or SSD Card

This operation is risky. You must confirm whether to continue to execute the command.

Run the following command to forcibly replace the SSD or SSD card in the event of a single point of failure in the resource pool:

./dswareTool.sh --op forceReplaceSSD -id poolId -oldEsn oldSSDEsn -newEsn newSSDEsn -nodeMgrIp nodeMgrIp -type main_storage/cache -ignoreMediaFault(optional) true/false(default)

Parameter

Description

./dswareTool.sh

Specifies an executable program for the tool.

--op forceReplaceSSD

Forcibly replaces the SSD or SSD card.

-id poolId

Specifies the ID of the storage pool.

-oldEsn oldSSDEsn

Specifies the ESN of the faulty SSD or SSD card.

-newEsn newSSDEsn

Specifies the ESN of the new SSD or SSD card.

-nodeMgrIp nodeMgrIp

Specifies the IP address of the node.

-type main_storage/cache

Specifies the role of the faulty SSD or SSD card. The value can be main_storage or cache.

-ignoreMediaFault(optional) true/false(default)

Specifies whether to ignore the faulty medium. The value can be true or false (default). This parameter is optional.

An IPv4 example is provided as follows:

dsware@FSM:/opt/dsware/client/bin> ./dswareTool.sh --op forceReplaceSSD -id 0 -oldEsn 022UUA10FS000049 -newEsn 022UUA10FS000049 -nodeMgrIp 192.168.60.146 -type cache
