Switching the Active MDC or VBS Node

This operation is risky. You must confirm whether to continue to execute the command.

Run the following command to switch the active MDC or VBS node:

sh dswareTool.sh --op switchOverMasterNode -clusterType mdc/vbs -newMasterNodeIp(optional) ip -forceSwitchover(optional,only for mdc) true/false -lockCluster(optional,only for mdc) true/false

Parameter

Description

dswareTool.sh

Specifies an executable program for the tool.

--op switchOverMasterNode

Switches the active MDC or VBS node.

-clusterType mdc/vbs

Specifies the node type to be switched.

-newMasterNodeIp(optional) ip

Specifies the IP address of the new active node. This parameter is optional.

-forceSwitchover(optional,only for mdc) true/false

Specifies whether to forcibly switch the active node. This parameter is valid only for MDC nodes.

-lockCluster(optional,only for mdc) true/false

Specifies whether to lock the new active node. This parameter is valid only for MDC nodes.

If the MDC cluster is locked, ensure that the status of the VBS node to be configured as the active node is up.

An IPv4 example is provided as follows:

dsware@FSM01:/opt/dsware/client/bin> ./dswareTool.sh --op switchOverMasterNode -clusterType mdc -newMasterNodeIp 192.168.61.20 -forceSwitchover true -lockCluster true
