Equipment Safety

  • Do not tip over the equipment. Ensure that the equipment is right side up when you lower it from the vehicle.
  • Carry and place the equipment carefully to ensure that it moves steadily at an even speed.
  • Ensure that the equipment does not collide with doors, thresholds, walls, or goods shelves.
  • Ensure that the equipment is not laid upside down or on its side and that the pallet of the wooden case faces towards the ground.
  • Slow down the vehicle before you take a turn. When you take a turn, adjust the position of equipment to ensure that it faces in the outside lane of the road and near the center line at turnings. See Figure 4-2.
