The values of N are as follows:

TCP/IP network:
  • Capacity of a single disk ≤ 2 TB: N = 1.5 GB
  • 2 TB < Capacity of a single disk ≤ 4 TB: N = 1.8 GB
  • Capacity of a single disk > 4 TB: N is incremented by 0.2 GB for every increment of 2 TB in the disk capacity.

IB/RoCE network:

Capacity of a single disk is 1 GB higher than that in the TCP/IP network.

If the replication service is deployed on a storage node, memory required by the replication service must be added to the memory required by the storage node. For details about the memory required by the replication service, see the FusionStorage HyperReplication Feature Guide.

Converged Deployment of Compute Nodes and Storage Nodes

Memory required by a server = Memory required by a storage node + Memory required by VBS

The memory required by a storage node and memory required by VBS are the same as those required in the scenario of separate deployment of compute nodes and storage nodes.

  • Each server has 4 to 36 disks that can be used by FusionStorage (excluding ZooKeeper disks and system disks).
  • The differences between the numbers of disks on servers in a storage pool cannot be greater than 2 and 30% of the disks on the server with the maximum number of disks.
  • The disks in the same storage pool must be of the same type.
  • It is recommended that the sizes of the disks in the same storage pool be the same. Otherwise, the system uses the minimum disk capacity in the storage pool as the raw capacity of each disk.
  • For servers added to the same storage pool, it is recommended that the disk slots on the servers added to the storage pool be consistent.
  • The numbers and types of cache disks on servers in the same storage pool must be the same.
  • It is recommended that the sizes of the cache disks in the same storage pool be the same. Otherwise, the system uses the minimum disk capacity in the storage pool as the raw capacity of each disk.
