Importing a Security Certificate
When you access SystemReporter in different browsers, browsers prompt a security certificate problem. This section describes how to install a security certificate.
Installing a Security Certificate on Internet Explorer
This section uses Windows and Internet Explorer 10.0 as an example to explain how to install a security certificate.
- In the address box of Internet Explorer on the maintenance terminal, type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number (for example, https://127.0.0.1:8088), and press Enter.
NOTE:
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the IP address of the SystemReporter server. Port ID is the ID of the HTTPS service port, which is 8088 by default. If another HTTP service port has been specified when the software is installed, use the specified port ID to log in. - Import the security certificate.
- After the security certificate is imported, close the browser and open it again. In the address box, enter https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number to go to the login page of SystemReporter.
Adding Security Exceptions on Firefox
This section uses Windows and Firefox 28 as an example to explain how to add security exceptions.
- In the address box of Firefox on the maintenance terminal, type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number and press Enter.
- Go to the login page of SystemReporter to add security exceptions.
Installing a Security Certificate in Google Chrome
This section uses Windows and Google Chrome 27 as an example to explain how to install a security certificate.
- In the address box of Google Chrome on the maintenance terminal, type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number and press Enter.
- Check certificate information.
- Export the security certificate to the local computer.
- Open the details page of the certificate and click Copy to File. The Certificate Export Wizard dialog box is displayed.
- In the Certificate Export Wizard dialog box that is displayed, click Next.
- Keep the default format and click Next.
- Specify the name and path for the file to be exported and click Next.
- Click Finish.
- After the system prompts The export was successful. Click OK to close the Certificate Export Wizard dialog box.
- Click OK to close the Certificate dialog box.
- Import the certificate.
- Click Customize and control and choose Settings from the drop-down list.
- On the Settings page, click Show advanced settings.
- In the HTTPS/SSL area, click Manage certificates.
- In the Certificates dialog box that is displayed, click Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
- Click Import.
- In the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box that is displayed, click Next.
- Click Browse, select the security certificate stored on the local computer, and click Open.
- Click Next.
- Verify that the security certificate is stored in Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click Next.
- Click Finish.
- In the Security Warning dialog box, confirm the source of the certificate and click Yes. You have finished importing the security certificate.
- After the system prompts The import was successful. Click OK to close the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box.
- Click Close to close the Certificate dialog box.
- Close the open websites, and in the address box of the browser type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number and press Enter to go to the login page of SystemReporter.
Installing a Security Certificate on Safari
This section uses Windows and Safari 5.5 as an example to explain how to install a security certificate.
- In the address box of Safari on the maintenance terminal, type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number and press Enter.
- Install the security certificate.
- After the certificate is imported, in the address box of the browser, enter https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number again to go to the login page of SystemReporter.
