OceanStor 5000, 5000F, 6000 and 6000F V5 Series V500R007C50

This document is applicable to OceanStor 5300 V5, 5500 V5, 5600 V5, 5800 V5, 6800 V5, 5300F V5, 5500F V5, 5600F V5, 5800F V5 and 6800F V5. This document describes how to download and install OceanStor SystemReporter, and how to use SystemReporter and troubleshoot the common issues.

Importing a Security Certificate

When you access SystemReporter in different browsers, browsers prompt a security certificate problem. This section describes how to install a security certificate.

Installing a Security Certificate on Internet Explorer

This section uses Windows and Internet Explorer 10.0 as an example to explain how to install a security certificate.
  1. In the address box of Internet Explorer on the maintenance terminal, type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number (for example, https://127.0.0.1:8088), and press Enter.

    NOTE:
    XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the IP address of the SystemReporter server. Port ID is the ID of the HTTPS service port, which is 8088 by default. If another HTTP service port has been specified when the software is installed, use the specified port ID to log in.

  2. Import the security certificate.
    1. If the system prompts There is a problem with this website's security certificate, click Continue to this website (not recommended).
    2. At the right of the address box, click Certificate Error. In the dialog box that is displayed, click View Certificates.

      The Certificates dialog box is displayed.



      NOTE:
      • Verify that the IP address to which the certificate is issued is the same as the one used to log in to SystemReporter. Otherwise, when you log in to SystemReporter again after the security certificate is imported, the system still prompts There is a problem with this website's security certificate.
      • Verify that the client time is within the certificate validity period.

    3. In the Certificates dialog box, click Install Certificate.

      The Certificate Import Wizard dialog box is displayed.

    4. In Certificate Import Wizard, read instructions and click Next.
    5. Select Place all certificates in the following store and click Browse.

      NOTE:

      If you select Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate, in Windows 7 the system still prompts There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

    6. In the Select Certificate store dialog box, select Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click OK. The Certificate Import Wizard dialog box is displayed.
    7. Perform operations as prompted. In the Security Warning dialog box, confirm the certificate source and click Yes to complete certificate import.
  3. After the security certificate is imported, close the browser and open it again. In the address box, enter https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number to go to the login page of SystemReporter.

Adding Security Exceptions on Firefox

This section uses Windows and Firefox 28 as an example to explain how to add security exceptions.
  1. In the address box of Firefox on the maintenance terminal, type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number and press Enter.
  2. Go to the login page of SystemReporter to add security exceptions.
    1. If This Connection is Untrusted is displayed, choose I Understand the Risks > Add Exception. The Add Security Exception dialog box is displayed.
    2. In the Add Security Exception dialog box, confirm that the IP address in Location is the one used to log in to SystemReporter.



    3. Click View. On the Certificate Viewer page, confirm that the client time is within the validity period. Then click Close.
    4. In the Add Security Exception dialog box, click Confirm Security Exception. The login page of SystemReporter is displayed.

Installing a Security Certificate in Google Chrome

This section uses Windows and Google Chrome 27 as an example to explain how to install a security certificate.

  1. In the address box of Google Chrome on the maintenance terminal, type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number and press Enter.
  2. Check certificate information.
    1. If the message The site's security certificate is not trusted is displayed, click the lock icon at the left side of the address box.
    2. Select Connection and click Certificate information.

      The Certificate dialog box that is displayed, select Details.



      NOTE:
      • Verify that the IP address to which the certificate is issued is the same as the one used to log in to SystemReporter. Otherwise, when you log in to SystemReporter again after the security certificate is imported, the system still prompts The site's security certificate is not trusted.
      • Verify that the client time is within the certificate validity period.

    3. Click Details. After confirming the information, click OK.
  3. Export the security certificate to the local computer.
    1. Open the details page of the certificate and click Copy to File. The Certificate Export Wizard dialog box is displayed.
    2. In the Certificate Export Wizard dialog box that is displayed, click Next.
    3. Keep the default format and click Next.
    4. Specify the name and path for the file to be exported and click Next.
    5. Click Finish.
    6. After the system prompts The export was successful. Click OK to close the Certificate Export Wizard dialog box.
    7. Click OK to close the Certificate dialog box.
  4. Import the certificate.
    1. Click Customize and control and choose Settings from the drop-down list.
    2. On the Settings page, click Show advanced settings.
    3. In the HTTPS/SSL area, click Manage certificates.
    4. In the Certificates dialog box that is displayed, click Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
    5. Click Import.
    6. In the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box that is displayed, click Next.
    7. Click Browse, select the security certificate stored on the local computer, and click Open.
    8. Click Next.
    9. Verify that the security certificate is stored in Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click Next.
    10. Click Finish.
    11. In the Security Warning dialog box, confirm the source of the certificate and click Yes. You have finished importing the security certificate.
    12. After the system prompts The import was successful. Click OK to close the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box.
    13. Click Close to close the Certificate dialog box.
  5. Close the open websites, and in the address box of the browser type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number and press Enter to go to the login page of SystemReporter.

Installing a Security Certificate on Safari

This section uses Windows and Safari 5.5 as an example to explain how to install a security certificate.
  1. In the address box of Safari on the maintenance terminal, type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number and press Enter.
  2. Install the security certificate.
    1. In the dialog box stating Safari cannot verify the identity of the website "xxx", select Show Certificate.

      The Certificates dialog box is displayed.

      NOTE:
      • Verify that the IP address to which the certificate is issued is the same as the one used to log in to SystemReporter. Otherwise, when you log in to SystemReporter again after the security certificate is imported, the system still prompts There is a problem with this website's security certificate.
      • Verify that the client time is within the certificate validity period.

    2. In the Certificates dialog box, click Install Certificate.
    3. In Certificate Import Wizard, read instructions and click Next.
    4. Select Place all certificates in the following store and click Browse.
