How Can I Troubleshoot the SystemReporter Installation Failure in a Windows OS of Spanish Edition
Symptom
If I install SystemReporter in a Windows Server 2012 or 2008 OS of Spanish edition, an error is reported when the installation progress reaches 19% and the installation fails.
Possible Cause
The current user does not have the permission for installing SystemReporter, causing a database installation failure. As a result, SystemReporter installation fails.
Recommended Actions
- Create a folder named reporterdb in the installation path of SystemReporter. Right-click the folder and choose Propiedades from the shortcut menu. In the displayed Propiedades:reporterdb dialog box, click the Seguridad tab and then click Editar. In the displayed Permisos de reporterdb dialog box, add the Control total permission to Useuarios.
- In the Install DataBase window of the SystemReporter installation wizard, set the directory for the database to the folder created in step 1. Then continue installation.
