You can assign different permissions to administrators and manage users effectively to ensure data security of SystemReporter.

Creating an Administrator Group
An administrator group is a collection of administrators assigned with the same rights. This section describes how to create an administrator group for SystemReporter.
Context
All users support Customize Panel and Manage Favorites functions.
Procedure
Go to the dialog box for creating an administrator group.
On the menu bar, click System.
In the navigation tree, choose System Administrators > Administrator Groups.
In the function pane, click Create.
The Create Administrator Groups dialog box is displayed.
Configure the administrator group.
Table 5-13 describes the name and description of the administrator group.

The name cannot be blank.
A name contains a maximum of 64 characters.
The name contains only digits, letters, underscores (_), or hyphens (-) and must start with a letter or underscore (_).
Description
Describes the time, right, and purpose for creating an administrator group. This description is for your convenient management.
Select a rights set for the administrator group.
NOTE:
After you configure the rights set, all member administrators inherit the rights, ensuring security of report data.
Click OK.
The Success dialog box is displayed, indicating that the administrator group has been successfully created.
Follow-up Procedure
After the administrator group is successfully created, you can perform operations described in Table 5-14.

Select an administrator group and click .
You can delete an administrator group that has been created.
NOTE:
Before deleting an administrator group, delete administrators from the group first.
Default administrator groups administrator, operator, and auditor cannot be deleted.
View
View information about an administrator group in Administrator Groups.
Click the name of an administrator group or the number of associated administrators.
To view the name of the administrator group, the number of associated administrators, description, permission information of the administrator group and the administrators in an administrator group.
Modify
Select an administrator group that you want to modify in Administrator Groups.
Click Modify.
You can modify the name, description, and rights of an administrator group.
NOTE:
Default administrator groups administrator, operator, and auditor cannot be modified.
Creating an Administrator
This section describes how to assign different rights to administrators to ensure data security.
Prerequisites
An administrator group has been created.
Context
When you need to perform the permission- and domain-specific management of SystemReporter, you can create an administrator and select an administrator group for it. The administrator inherits the permission of the administrator
group. You need to select manageable resources and configure the IP network segment used for logging in to SystemReporter. Users with different roles have different permissions. Default permissions of roles are as follows:
administrator: Administrators can access and configure all the devices managed by SystemReporter, but they cannot register devices.
operator: An operator has the right to view and operate the basic functions of OceanStor SystemReporter.
auditor: An observer only has the permission to view and export system operation logs.
Procedure
Go to the dialog box for creating an administrator.
On the menu bar, choose System.
In the navigation tree, choose System Administrators > Administrators.
In the function pane, click Create.
The Create Administrators dialog box is displayed.
Configure the administrator.
Set basic information about the administrator. Table 5-15 describes the parameters.

Username
User name for logging in to SystemReporter. After the administrator is created, its user name can be changed.
NOTE:
The user name must contain at least fiveh characters.
The user name contains only digits, letters, periods (.), underscores (_), or hyphens (-) and must start with a letter or underscore (_).
Authentication mode
Mode for authenticating the login of an administrator to SystemReporter. The value can only be Local authentication.
In local authentication mode, you can configure a user name and password
on the SystemReporter server for local authentication. Advantages of local authentication: high speed, and low operation expenditure. Disadvantages: poor security, and storage capacity restricted by the SystemReporter server hardware.
Password
Password for logging in to SystemReporter when password authentication is used.
The password comprises at least eight characters.
The password must contain special characters such as =-_^!@#$%*()|:;,."'+&}{ and spaces.
The specific requirements are subject to the password policy configuration in the system security policy.
Confirm password
Specified the password you need to input again. The two passwords must be identical. The password must be the same as that in Password.
Description
Brief description about the administrator, helping identify the administrator.
Click the Select Administrator Group tab to select an administrator group for the administrator. Then the administrator can inherit the rights of the administrator group.
If you select multiple administrator groups, the administrator has the rights of all selected administrator groups.
Click the Select Resources tab to allocate resources to be managed by the administrator.
Click According to Resource Type and select desired resources from the resource list to be managed by the administrator.
Click the Select Login Network Segment tab and select an IP address segment for the administrator to log in to SystemReporter.
Perform the following operations to set an IP address segment.
NOTE:
The IP address can be an IPv4 address or IPv6 address.
Create an IP address segment.
Click Add.
The Add login network segment dialog box is displayed.
Enter relevant information next to Start IP address, End IP address, and Description.
Click OK.
Modify an IP address segment.
Select an IP address segment and click Modify.
The Modify network segment dialog box is displayed.
Enter relevant information next to Start IP address, End IP address, and Description.
Click OK.
Delete an IP address segment.
Select an IP address segment and click Delete.
The Warning dialog box is displayed.
Click OK.
Click OK.
The Success dialog box is displayed, indicating that the administrator has been successfully created.
Follow-up Procedure
In the administrator list, view the administrator you have created. You can perform operations described in Table 5-16.

After this operation, you cannot log in to SystemReporter as the administrator that is locked.
Unlock an administrator

The Warning dialog box is displayed.
Click OK.
The Unlock User dialog box is displayed.
Enter the password of the current user and click OK.
After this operation, you can log in to SystemReporter as the administrator that is unlocked.
Modify an administrator
Click .
You can modify the description, owning administrator group, resources, and login IP segment of the administrator.
Change the password
Click .
You can change the authentication mode and password of the administrator.
Managing Online Administrators
This section describes how to force unauthorized administrators offline and log out of the system.
Context
The super administrator and administrators in the administrator group can force sub-administrators to go offline.
The maximum number of sessions created by the same online administrator is 10.
Procedure
Go to the page that displays the online administrators.
On the menu bar, choose System.
In the navigation tree, choose System Administrators > Online Administrators.
The Online Administrators page is displayed.
Force an online administrator to be offline.
In Online Administrator List of the function pane, select an online administrator that you want to set offline.
Click Force Offline.
The Warning dialog box is displayed.
Click OK.
The Success dialog box is displayed, indicating that the administrator has been set offline.
NOTE:
If an administrator did not exit SystemReporter normally after the latest login (because the browser is directly or abnormally closed), the status of the administrator can be updated to offline only when the system reaches the timeout
duration.
