How Do I Solve the Problem of Garbled Characters in Files Exported in CSV Format?
Symptom
When using some functions of SystemReporter to export data in CSV file format, the file has garbled characters when you open this file using Office Excel.
Possible Causes
File code is not the same as the default Excel code.
Procedure
- Open the CSV file using a Notepad.
- Click File. In the drop-down list, select Save as. In the dialog box that is displayed, set the code to UTF-8 and click Save.
- Open the file using Office Excel.
