Logging In to SystemReporter
This section describes how to log in to SystemReporter.
Prerequisites
- SystemReporter has been installed and its services have been enabled.
- The browser meets compatible requirements.
- The user name and password for logging in to SystemReporter have been obtained.
Context
This section uses Chrome 27 in Windows as an example to explain how to log in to SystemReporter.
Procedure
- Open a web browser on your maintenance terminal.
- In the address box of the browser, type https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port number, and press Enter.
The login page of SystemReporter is displayed.
NOTE:
- XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the IP address of the server on which SystemReporter is installed.
- port number indicates the HTTPS service port. The default port number is 8088. If an HTTPS service port is manually specified during the installation, use the specified port to log in to SystemReporter.
- Enter the login information described in Table 3-2.

- The user name must contain at least five characters.
- The user name contains only digits, letters, periods (.), underscores (_), or hyphens (-) and must start with a letter or underscore (_).

Password
Password for logging in to SystemReporter.

- The password must contain at least eight characters.
- The password must contain special characters, upper-case letters, lower-case letters, and digits.
- Special characters can be spaces and `~!@#$%^&*()-_=+\|[{}];:'",<.>/?
[Default value]
The default user name is admin and the initial password is Admin@storage.
Verification code
Verification information displayed in SystemReporter.
NOTE:The system prompts you to enter the verification code if you enter incorrect user names and passwords for two consecutive times.The verification code comprises four valid digits.
- Click Login.
The Change Password dialog box is displayed.
- In the Change Password dialog box that is displayed, enter the original password and new password and click OK.
The Success dialog box is displayed indicating that the password is changed successfully.
NOTE:
- If you log in to SystemReporter for the first time, the system will prompt you to change your password. If you have ever logged in to SystemReporter and want to change the password, click
in the upper right status area.
- If an administrator or read-only user forgets its password, contact the super administrator to reset the password. If you forget the user name or password of the super administrator, contact Huawei technical engineers.
- If you consecutively input incorrect passwords for more times than that specified in the login policy, the system automatically locks your account for a specified period and unlocks it after this period.
- You can configure the password policy. For details, see Configuring a Security Policy.
- If you log in to SystemReporter for the first time, the system will prompt you to change your password. If you have ever logged in to SystemReporter and want to change the password, click
