Setting Serial Port Redirection
Scenarios
Set serial port redirection for a server using the basic input/output system (BIOS).
Procedure
- Access the BIOS. For details, see Accessing the BIOS.
- Press ← or → to switch to the Advanced screen shown in Figure 4-27, which is an example screen for TaiShan 200 (model 2280).
- Select Serial Console Configuration and press Enter.
- Choose Serial Console Redirection and press Enter.
- In the dialog box displayed, select Enabled or Disabled, and press Enter.
- Enabled
- Disabled
- Press F10.
The system displays the "Save configuration changes and exit?" dialog box.
- Select Yes and press Enter.
The server automatically restarts for the settings to take effect.
