Configuring iBMC Network Information
Scenarios
Configure iBMC network information, including the iBMC IP address, subnet mask, and gateway.
You need to obtain the following data:
- iBMC IP address
- iBMC subnet mask
- iBMC gateway
Procedure
- Access the BIOS. For details, see Accessing the BIOS.
- Press ← or → to switch to the Advanced screen shown in Figure 4-26, which is an example screen for TaiShan 200 (model 2280).
- Select IPMI iBMC Configuration and press Enter.
- Select iBMC Configuration and press Enter.
- Select IP Source under IPv4 configuration and press Enter.
- Select a mode for obtaining the iBMC IPv4 address from the displayed shortcut menu.
The default mode for obtaining the iBMC IPv4 is Static.
- Select Static and press Enter.
- Select IP Address under IPv4 configuration and press Enter.
The IP Address dialog box is displayed.
- Type the iBMC IPv4 address and press Enter.
- Select Subnet Mask under IPv4 configuration and press Enter.
The Subnet Mask dialog box is displayed.
- Enter the iBMC IPv4 subnet mask and press Enter.
- Select Gateway Address under IPv4 configuration and press Enter.
The Gateway Address dialog box is displayed.
- Type the iBMC IPv4 gateway and press Enter.
Manually configure the iBMC network information.
- Select DHCP and press Enter.
Dynamically obtain the iBMC network information using the DHCP.
- Press F10.
The system displays the "Save configuration changes and exit?" dialog box.
- Select Yes and press Enter.
The server automatically restarts for the settings to take effect.
