Web Interface
The Box 700 supports web-based management that allows the administrator to execute various types of tasks, including the following:
- Remotely operating the Box 700
- Configuring the address book
- Modifying system settings
- Configuring and sending caption
- Configuring the intelligent voice assistant

The web interface can be operated by a maximum of 10 users at a time, but only the latest operation takes effect. These users can log in to the web interface using the same account and password. Figure 7-5 shows the web interface of the Box 700.
Maintenance and Upgrade
The Box 700 can record system logs and perform system diagnostics. The SMC2.0 and eSight can be used for automatic inspection on the Box 700. In addition, the SMC2.0 can be used to upgrade the Box 700 software and connected camera.
Log Management
The Box 700 records logs about operations and system errors, helping the administrator maintain the system and locate faults.
Logs are stored as files. On the web interface of the Box 700, the administrator can query, export, or delete logs of a specified time frame or all logs.
System Diagnostics
The Box 700 can detect the status of hardware running, network connection, audio input/output, video input/output, common parameter configuration, and server registration to help users locate faults.
Inspection
The SMC2.0 and eSight can automatically check the following items on the Box 700:
- IP line status
- System software version
- System performance, including the temperature and fan status
- Registration status
- SMC2.0: Check the H.323 and SIP registration status.
- eSight: Check the SIP registration status.
- Camera control status
- Content source connection status and input port settings
- Video input cable connection status and video input port settings
Box 700 inspection tasks are interrupted when the Box 700 is powered off or initiates a call, and are resumed once the Box 700 is restarted or the call ends.
The inspection status and result can be reported to the SMC2.0.
Upgrade
The Box 700 allows users to upgrade its software packages (two software packages: one for users and the other for the production line). The software package for the production line can be used only by the production line for manufacturing and repair.
You can upgrade the Box 700 to the latest version to fix its vulnerabilities and use the new functions provided in the latest version.
- The Box 700 can be upgraded using the upgrade tool or on the web interface.
- The Box 700 factory default system can be backed up and used for system restoration if necessary.
- The Box 700 supports silent upgrade.
- Box 700s can be upgraded in batches.
- The Box 700 upgrade can be paused and resumed.
- Any Box 700 connected to eSight can be upgraded using eSight.
- As a manageable device, the Box 700 can be upgraded using the SMC2.0. If multiple Box 700s exist, they can be upgraded in batches using the SMC2.0.
- VPC600, VPC620, VPC800, and VPT300 cameras connected to the Box 700 can be upgraded using the relevant upgrade tool.
