Restarting a 3G Modem After Several Consecutive Dial-up Failures
Context
When the dial-up on a 3G cellular interface fails for several consecutive times, you can set the maximum number of dial-up failures. When the number of consecutive dial-up failures reaches the maximum value, the device restarts the 3G modem for automatic fault recovery.
Procedure
- Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
- Run the interface cellular interface-number command to enter the 3G cellular interface view.
- Run the modem auto-recovery dial action modem-reboot fail-times times command to set the maximum number of
dial-up failures. When the number of consecutive dial-up failures reaches the maximum value, the device restarts the 3G modem.
It is recommended that the maximum number of consecutive dial-up failures should be less than 8.
