(Optional) Configuring the Default APN
Context
To ensure wireless connection security, some carriers require that devices connect to 5G networks through the default APN. In dual-card single-standby scenarios, the device connects to different carriers' 5G networks through corresponding default APNs, improving network reliability. You can determine whether to configure the default APN for a carrier's 5G network based on the carrier's requirements. By default, no default APN is configured for an 5G network.
Only V300R019C11SPC200 and later versions support this configuration.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run interface cellular interface-number
The 5G cellular interface view is displayed.
- Configure the default APN for a 5G network.
- If there is only one SIM card installed, run profile create default apn [ user username password { cipher | simple } password authentication-mode { chap | pap } ]
The default APN is configured for a 5G network.
When you need to delete the default APN configured for a 5G network, run the profile delete default command.
- If there are two SIM cards installed, run profile create default apn [ user username password { cipher | simple } password authentication-mode { chap | pap } ] sim-id sim-id
The default APN is configured for a 5G network.
When you need to delete the default APN configured for a 5G network, run the profile delete default sim-id sim-id command.
