(Optional) Configuring the GPRS Encryption Algorithm for a 3G Cellular Interface
Context
By default, a modem supports the GEA1.0 and GEA2.0 encryption algorithms, and does not support the GEA3.0 encryption algorithm. When a 3G/LTE modem registers and accesses the network, it uses the GPRS encryption algorithms GEA1.0 and GEA2.0 to initiate a registration with the core network by default. The core network then selects the encryption mode based on the encryption capability of itself. The device can access the network only when the encryption mode matches the device.
The device embedded with the ME909s-821 modem only in V300R019C11 and later versions supports the modem encryption-algorithm { gea1_gea2 | gea2_gea3 } command.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run interface cellular interface-number
The 3G cellular interface view is displayed.
- Configure the GPRS encryption algorithms supported by the LTE modem on the cellular interface.
- When the device is embedded with the ME909s-821 modem, run the modem encryption-algorithm { gea1_gea2 | gea2_gea3 } command.
