Restarting an LTE Modem Manually
Context
An LTE modem restarts automatically when it detects an exception. If the LTE modem cannot automatically restart, you can manually restart it.
The SIM card is not hot swappable. To ensure that the installed SIM card works properly, manually restart the LTE modem after hot swapping the SIM card.
After you manually restart the LTE modem, services on the LTE cellular interface are interrupted.
Procedure
- Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
- Run the interface cellular interface-number command to enter the LTE cellular interface view.
- Run the modem reboot [ fast ] command to manually restart the LTE modem.
Only the models supporting ME909s terminal modules in V300R019C10 and later versions support the fast parameter.
In V300R019C11SPC100 and later versions, 5G-100 boards support the fast parameter.
- Run the sim-card reboot command to restart the SIM, USIM, or UIM card.
Only the models with ME909s terminal modules in V300R019C10 and later versions support this function.
