Adjusting the Frequency for IGMP or MLD to Send Trap Messages
Context
By setting the number of trap messages about Join/Leave events sent by Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) or Multicast Listener Discovery (MLD) per second, you can monitor the current statuses of IGMP or MLD events. Perform the following steps on the router managed by the network management system.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run multicast-mib
The multicast management information base (MIB) view is displayed.
- Run multicast mib-notification join-leave frequency count
The number of trap messages about Join/Leave events sent by IGMP or MLD per second is set.
By default, IGMP or MLD does not send any trap message when IGMP or MLD joining or leaving events occur.
