(Optional) Configuring an Interface to Send IGMP Report Messages with the Multicast Address Used by a Routing Protocol
Context
In the SD-WAN scenario, if the MA5671A (03032CUW) optical transceiver is installed on a device, routing protocols such as OSPF and RIP will become unavailable, because the MA5671A (03032CUW) optical transceiver cannot receive multicast packets of these routing protocols. To ensure that routing protocols such as OSPF and RIP run normally, you can configure an interface to send IGMP Report messages with multicast addresses used by the routing protocols. After this function is configured, the interface sends IGMP Report messages with the destination address 224.0.0.5, 224.0.0.6, or 224.0.0.9 every 60 seconds.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
- Run igmp report { ospf | rip }
The interface is configured to send IGMP Report messages with the multicast address used by a routing protocol.
By default, an interface does not send IGMP Report messages with multicast addresses used by routing protocols.
