Configuring IPv6 DNS Proxy or Relay
When the DNS client and DNS server are on different LANs, the device enabled with IPv6 DNS proxy or Relay can forward DNS request and reply packets.
Pre-configuration Tasks
- Connecting interfaces and setting physical parameters for the interfaces to ensure that the physical status of the interfaces is Up
- Configuring link layer protocol parameters for interfaces to ensure that the link layer protocol status on the interfaces is Up
- Configuring a DNS server
- Configuring routes between the local routing device and the DNS server and between the local routing device and the IPv6 DNS client
