Configuring an Order Preserving Mode
Context
When a small number of flows are transmitted, devices equipped with a multi-core CPU cannot evenly distribute flows to multiple cores for processing. As a result, the advantages of the multi-core CPU cannot be brought into full play. To improve device forwarding performance, configure the devices to work in software-based order preserving mode to evenly distribute flows to different cores for processing.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run set workmode soft-order
The device is configured to work in software-based order preserving mode.
By default, a device works in hash-based order preserving mode.
This function is supported in V300R019C10 and later versions.
Only AR6140H-S, AR6140-16G4XG, and the devices equipped with the SRU-100HH, SRU-400HK, SRU-600HK, SRU-400H, and SRU-600H support this function.
